tarting June 1, 2025, schoolchildren and students in Kazakhstan will be able to find temporary jobs, take free courses, and gain their first professional experience through digital services. This was announced by Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Svetlana Zhakupova at a government meeting.

Today, there are more than 1.4 million students aged 14 to 18 in the country who are allowed to work, including over 26,500 children with disabilities. The largest number of such schoolchildren live in the southern regions: Turkestan, Zhambyl, Almaty regions, and Almaty city.

To search for job opportunities, a special section "My Summer Holidays" has been created on the Electronic Labor Exchange platform —enbek.kz.

Schoolchildren aged 14 and older can register, create a personal account, and search for temporary work independently. For teenagers under 16, registration is carried out by parents or legal representatives.

The platform provides a safe job search with verified employers and allows students to acquire their first work skills. More than 24,000 schoolchildren are already employed, with most working in trade, food services, and household services.

Besides job search, students can take free training courses on the Skills.Enbek platform. It features over 1,200 courses, including 322 free ones and 137 available in Kazakh. The topics cover IT, marketing, business, communications, and other fields.

In 2025, Skills.Enbek will be enhanced with practice-oriented courses. Even if teenagers do not plan to work in summer, they can use this time to develop relevant skills.

For career guidance, the digital platform "Mansap Compass" is used. It helps determine career interests, take tests, learn about in-demand professions, and choose a suitable educational institution.

The minister emphasized that the key goal of the program is to create equal opportunities for all schoolchildren and ensure a safe environment for their first work experience.
