At the Turkestan summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), Kazakhstan unveiled large‑scale GovTech initiatives. Heads of state reviewed projects in artificial intelligence, satellite communications, supercomputers, and digital government services.

The summit concluded with unanimous support for establishing an International Center for Digital Solutions in Almaty. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of AI and Digital Development Zhaslan Madiev emphasized that Kazakhstan views artificial intelligence as a strategic priority.

The country is building an ecosystem through infrastructure, human capital, and innovative products. Key projects include the introduction of Starlink and OneWeb satellite communications, and construction of the Trans‑Caspian fiber‑optic line to strengthen regional transit potential.

Special focus is placed on expanding computing power. Following the launch of supercomputers, the “Valley of Data Centers” project will begin — a facility with at least 1 GW capacity, designed to become the foundation of an export‑oriented economy providing AI computing.

Cooperation within OTS is also advancing in space: Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkey, and Azerbaijan are preparing to launch a scientific CubeSat satellite. AI is being integrated into public administration, with eGov AI and AlemGPT platforms making government services more intelligent.

Presidents were also presented with projects for digitalizing the transport and logistics sector. At the close of the summit, OTS countries supported Kazakhstan’s initiative to establish an Asia‑Pacific Center for Digital Solutions.
