Google has launched its most advanced AI model, Gemini, in Kazakh, timed to Kazakhstan’s Independence Day. This rollout is part of a global expansion of language support in Gemini 3.
The Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development highlighted: “According to the company’s estimates, AI integration in the public sector can deliver significant economic impact, including increased efficiency of public administration, greater resilience of the budget system, and contribution to the country’s economic growth.”
Kazakh is among 23 new languages added in this generation of Gemini. The Kazakh interface is already available in the web version, accessible through Google account settings. Support for Android and iOS mobile versions, as well as the launch of Gemini Live — a real‑time communication mode — is planned in the near future.
The release of Gemini in Kazakh is part of Google’s broader work in Kazakhstan, including investments in workforce training, development of digital skills, and support for local developers. The Ministry pledged to continue cooperation with international technology partners to advance artificial intelligence, localize digital products, and prepare a new generation of specialists.
