For several years now, Suleyman Demirel University has been holding the IT LAW Forum, an event aimed at professionals in the field of information technology and law.
This year, a separate topic of the forum was the issue of personal data protection, compliance with legal requirements for the collection and processing of personal data from the private sector, the banking sector and the state itself.
The Eurasian Digital Foundation invited Ruslan Dayyrbekov, founder of the Foundation and director of the DRCQ law firm.
We have written more than once about the increasing number of leaks of personal data (PD) of Kazakhstanis, about the importance of protecting sensitive PD, and also provided our recommendations in working groups for draft laws on the issues of responsible collection of personal data and prompt response to their leaks.
The EDF expert shared with the audience his experience of participating in the legislative process and his observations on the development of the national legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the protection of personal data, and also spoke about the importance of compliance with these laws by business.
Separately, the importance of Data privacy compliance practice in our country was noted.
We would like to thank SDU University for the opportunity to share knowledge with future digital lawyers. And also for a platform for covering such important topics.
